So apparently he no longer pronounces it like he originally pronounced it, and we are all wrong for pronouncing it how he originally pronounced it.

I wanted to be strong like Chuck Norris but I now know the geek shall inherit the earth. Same goes for Hobbits when you think about it.

But with pronunciation of Linux - according to Linus his name is pronounced "Leenus" in Swedish so Linux should be pronounced "Leenux" and not "Linux"!

The way he said it - its "u" as in "duck" but softened and not pronounced. I didn't google this for the "nux" bit but because of confusion over the "Li" bit.
