If you listen to/watch Hubbard's lectures in full, they make a good deal of sense most of the time. This is not because Hubbard was a genius, but because he's saying things that no rational person would argue with. War IS insanity, our governments ARE corrupt. Where Hubbard's true talent lay was in making complete common sense seem like profound revelations of a mighty mind. Mix it in with bafflingly pseudo-logical ideas about the mind and identity, add hypnotism, and you have LRH's patter.
