I too am an 01' grad, Golf ball here.
I work in the real world. I do not make those that work for me brace, walk 120, etc., etc. It is a system that instills discipline, pride, sacrifice and self-determination. I am not sure what you feel goes on inside the barracks and on the campus of The Citadel. Reading some of your comments though I think you have a very distorted view of what goes on, at best.

I've read several comments and I've had enough...If you haven't experienced the Citadel for yourself then you have no right to critize us...if you have and still believe that its your duty to trash talk the institute then shame on you...the Citadel requires a specific individual...only the strong survive if you will, and normally those that speak ill of the corps quit long before they could reach REC. DAY...God Bless the Corps and God Bless the Class of 2013 and those preceeding

what kind of training these people have undergone.... as you can see their faces, it seems that they have not undergone rigorous training or undergone sufferings... its like boyscout.....

I was in the Corps at Texas A&M, and I met one Citadel guy once... during Airborne School at Fort Benning in 1973. He was a GREAT guy. The Citadel is obviously a fine place, and those who experience the program there are WINNERS.

@Kicker0131 The Citadel was founded three years after VMI.

these men are heroes ...they die for their country ! ive seen some documentaries when they are in battle they face bombs, bullets and everyday they are prepared to die with honor.
we heard bad news also like how they take some men and torture them
how they molest their fellow(women) cadets etc...
i just hope all the soldiers out there serving their country will always carry conscience and a prayer in their hearts to avoid corruption and inhumanty

@subcap90 okay let me ask you something...where did vmi get there uniforms from? "straining?" rats? im pretty sure yall didnt think of that all by yourselfs, you only have to do one semester of your "rat" year we have to go through a year of pure hell...thats why the citadel makes better soon to be officers and civilians for the U.S and why we are better known around the U.S, VMI is known for trying to be like The Citadel
-
@Kicker0131 And this ladies and gentlemen is the sort of fine young men that you will find at the Citadel... unprofessional little kids playing dress up

2000 here one of the best days of my life
It's Alpha company class of 2011. The camelback's are for holding fluid, and 1stInLine1979, I agree with everything you said. There are examples of good and poor leadership within the corps and it's graduates but I wouldn't trade the education that I'm getting here for anything.
