BTW, a sizable majority of rapes go unreported, so if we give your data the benefit of the doubt, perhaps a higher figure means Canada just has a better record than the States when it comes to rape victims' reporting the crime -- in Canada, they'll listen. Saudi Arabia apparently has almost no rape at all. Yeah, sure.

@hughster41 Ah, well, we both know that's bullshit, but just for everyone else, I'll provide the UN stats. In 2009, 491 rape cases were reported in Canada, for a rate of 1.5 per 100,000 population. The same year, in the United States, there were 89,000 cases, for a rate of 28.6.

It's nice we live in Canada and the US, where women are free to report when they've been raped, unlike some other places where they'd be stoned to death for doing so.
