Takuma Endo is the actual creator for Tenchu, he is the president of acquire, and he wrote the characters and the first two games. However, Masashi Kishimoto's brother wrote Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven. Tenchu had various writers while Acquire did not have the rights to it.
