I support abortion for 2 reasons:

1: You cannot tell a grown woman what to do with her body

2: I would rather see a woman get an abortion in a sterile, clean doctors office with the latest state of the art surgical technology as compared to getting an abortion in a bacteria filled alley way by a black market doctor with a clothes hanger.

Actually, it's most likely that the largest demographic that opposes abortion are the victims themselves. It's been reported, at least anecdotelly, by former abortion Doctors, that the fetuses, while in the process of being terminated, violently resist being hacked to pieces and/or poisoned.

That's a very weak point, made against a slightly weaker point that abortion is wrong because it kills human life. Abortion is morally questionable because of the ambiguous personhood status of the unborn. Even a zygote is quite different than a sperm, because it has a complete individual genetic profile. Thus, comparing a sperm (which only has your genes) to a fetus is patently ridiculous.

Fuck am i glad to live in the uk. We have a few pathetic protestors against abortion, but the majority are for it. and i'm happy. Without and abortion, my best friend would have probably died in childbirth. and the baby would have been put into an orphanage. If she had gone through with the pregnancy, life would have been a lot worse. I don't care if you think abortion is murder. It isnt. it is a "potential" life not a life. So are all the millions of sperm that each man carries. let it be.
