In this 1980 made for television movie, Kirby Winters (Robert Hays) inherits one thing from his millionaire uncle: a gold pocket watch. Kirby and his girlfriend, Bonnie Lee Beaumont (Pam Dawber) soon discover that the watch has the power to stop time. It also provides a clue to a hidden fortune. Only, the bad guys know that he has it, and will do anything to take it from him.

  • Wow! Am I glad I came across this gem! I remember seeing this as a kid. Pam Dawber and Robert Hays were perfectly cast for this movie! I was in LOVE with her!

Thanks so much for posting this movie!

  • @Juraiprince FYI- I have all her movies on my "Pam Dawber Movies" Playlist on my channel. if you're interested. Thanks for watching.

  • I think given the choice between getting the watch and getting the $200 million I'd take the watch. I didn't even have to think about it.

    Thanks for posting this!!

  • @JamesonBondy You're welcome. Thanks for watching.

  • I remember the theme from this. It was sung by Richie Havens (Here Comes The Sun, Freedom). He was starting to get a lot of commercial/tv projects and this was one of them.

  • Tv movie music was so bad in the 70's.

  • 5:11 - Are we to assume that his uncle's dispensation specifically told him "And don't call me 'surly'?"

  • I remember catching this movie during a sunday matinee on tv as a little kid. It was probably after Kung Fu Theater or The Creature Double Feature when there was usually nothing on. For years, I thought I might have imagined it because nobody I mentioned it to had ever heard of it. I used to play Voyagers all the time and sometimes I'd pretend I had a watch like in this movie.

  • One of my favorite movies; just because I love the idea of stopping (or slowing) time.

  • San Diego back in the day.........good times.
