The Boston Herald reports that "the Angels are open to dealing either Jeff Mathis or Mike Napoli."
The newspaper speculates that one of the Angels' catchers could be on the Red Sox's radar if they're unable to re-sign Jason Varitek, noting that "the acquisition price for the blue-chip names has been too high" for Boston's liking.
