  • @cinnamonbrandylite I don't know, it was from a website that I have now forgotten, I am aware that its unkowable what his intelligence really would be as he died long before any intelligence test was developed.

  • @Grandecasla by who? with what evidence? which IQ - emotional? geopolitical? spatial? kinaesthetic? people who think IQ means one thing really hack me off.

  • he never said 'i will defend to the death' - he openly admired the person who did say that which is NOT THE SAME THING as he himself would gladly point out...

  • @jjason55740 that's a stupid book you have there.

  • "Originality is nothing but judicious imitation. The most original writers borrowed one from another."

    So true!

By the way, at 0:45, it's supposed to be "but" not "by."

  • @FreeOrientalist thats easy for him to say, he's has been estimated to have an IQ of 190.

  • Voltaire is an incomparable, witty artist when it surmounts to satirical writing. Candide is a fond one of mine

  • Do well and you will have no need for ancestors. - Voltaire.

This is one of my Favourite quotes from him.

  • The last quote in this video was actually never uttered by Voltaire. It was made up by an English biographer of his named E.B Hall - it is a complete fabrication. In the 200 volumes that span his life's work, you will *not* find it, nor would Voltaire ever have endorsed it.

  • @h2omanz

umm actually there is. I see that you aren't aware of basic archeological and prehistory and unfortunately you won't acknowledge facts. No matter what i say you will want to believe that the world is 10'000 years old. You fail to realize that when you are a nomad living in the ice age then you are busy looking for food and life expectancy is lower and children can't become to plentiful otherwise they consume all the food so less children means less thinking minds until agriculture
