@Rapaglia1 So you choose not to answer my questions? They are very simple questions to answer. If Mlk jr. was alive today would he support TORTURE? Water boarding exc...
Would Mlk jr agree with cheney and bush and attack Iraq and Afghanastan post 9-11? So your saying you wont answer my VERY simple questions because you dont want to "paint him in an unfair light" but in the same breath you call him a republican? Can we have a discourse or not? Are you a politician cause your dodging?

No, Bush and Cheney were not socialist. A socialist's desire is to redistribute wealth to ensure that the poor are taken care of. Jesus's teachings were socialist. He told a man to sell all that he had and give to the poor. Early church members sold possesions and brought the money to the apostles and they distributed to each as they had need. This is socialism. To call Bush and Cheney socialists is absolute blasphemy.

@funk7000 I'm sorry, but calling Bush and Cheney "Socialists" is proof that this McCarthyite crap of call anyone a socialist who doesn't support burning every building in DC to the ground is just stupid, a stupid and phony lie. MLK was NOT a true Republican, and to compare him to a guy who wanted the civil rights act done away with, supports the defunding of public schools and opposes affirmative action is just revisionism at it's worst. King and Paul agree on NOTHING.

Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote in his autobiography:
"The Republican Party geared its appeal and program to racism, reaction, and extremism."
That was his description of the 1964 Republican National Convention. He also referred to the Republican convention as "the frenzied wedding at the Cow Palace of the KKK with the radical right."
