I've been wanting to fly here for years and finally got round to some smooth ridge soaring in a SW'rly when it calmed down late afternoon. This is NOT an official site, with no permission to fly. There's a 2500' ceiling being close to Gatwick and the M25 is just behind. The East bowl has more room and the only real bottom landing options, with a *small* field on public land adjacent and to the North of the big green privately owned field. I was told by a Polish pilot that the owners get miffed if anyone lands in the green one. The West bowl is deeper, frequented by friendly model aircraft fliers and would be very hairy if you got low. It's also much closer to the M25. On the plus side, this hill is 10 minutes from my house and a long way from Sea Breeze fronts.
