@tek5828 Not using materials, but I do not have "Light" selected in the UV tab. So it still has the shadeless effect (No GLSLs).
Anyways, I fixed it by erasing the image around the texture I wanted, replacing it with black. I think the 'outline' that I was getting was flare from the fire.
is there anywhere i can find a tutorial like this except with blender 2.5?

Ahh, I was wondering how to turn the direction of bullet objects to face the way I want them to. ei. my shuriken in my game.

Is it's material set as shadeless?

@tek5828 Yes I know, but in the game you can still see the outline of the plane.
