During 1884, this building was a freak show. The main attraction at this freak show, behind a curtain at the very back of the building, was Joseph Merrick, aged only 21 years and who was called "the Elephant Man" by the freak show owner, because of the appalling disfigurements to Merrick's entire face and most of his body.

I decided to ring the doorbell and ask for him.

  • Muito legal tua idéia de trazer Merrick. Hoje o freak show é diferente, onde pessoas se tornam aberrações para ganhar grana.........vde realite shows.......

    abração.

    Presto

  • @ilanzinho verdade. freak brother brasil.

  • (Merrick was never kept in a cage, ever, and was treated civilly by the exhibitor. They were actually good friends. He was never beaten by him. His mistreatment came from the police, because the show was 'indecent', and from another exhibitor who took him to the continent, stole all his money, and abandoned him in Belgium.)

  • Thank you for the lesson my friend. Will update the video description right now.
