I'm Canadian, and i wish this was our anthem, or make a new one with power like a very gripping one, one that moves everyone, like the Russian anthem, or something with a gripping tune like Kameo elements of power, hero's theme, that is an awesome song.

@MrSouthrnpride Canada is a constitutional monarcy. The Queen has the power but only the Prime Minister can use it, in the most basic sense. The UK actually has nothing to do with it, but that's where the Queen of Commonwealth resides so I can understand your confusion.

@MrSouthrnpride It's ceremonial and historical now. Canada has run it self officially since about 1930 and actually much longer. In WW2 Canada did not have to
fight unless it chose to. Most historians believe Canada became a nation in World War one when the Canadian Corps because of it reputation were used by the High Command as storm troops and were the spear point for nearly every British Attack and victory in 1918. There is of course more but I hope this helps.

Canada became a separate nation in1867.Our Parliament runs the country by way of democratic vote and has complete separation from the Monarchy of Britain for purposes of setting our own policy.The Queen is merely a symbol that we choose to keep and acknowledge as part of our history.We are a member of the"Commonwealth of Nations"but have no influence of policy from Britain although we are very close allies to her and the US

@MrSouthrnpride Since 1982 Canada has been completely independent from the United Kingdom. However Queen Elizabeth II remains the queen, and head of state of Canada, as well as the United Kingdom and a number of other independent countries. The Canadian prime minister governs Canada in the same manner as the British prime minister governs the United Kingdom. I hope this answers your question.
