@ukuleletim small patterns like this are really helpful when learning, thanks.

I am enjoying this tutor-it's great! But, it would have helped me if you had pointed out that the clawhammering style is played over the sound hole. Where most uke strumming occurs forward of the hole. By playing over the hole you don't hit the fret board on the down stroke- it's really great though overall.
I worked it for quite a while and was not getting anywhere and then when I noticed where you were and then I adjusted-all my practice payed odd at once

I have been learning clawhammer on both the banjo and the Uke for a few months now, and I can play a few songs ok... but I hit a road block with the plucking aspect of it. I just couldn't figure it out, no matter how many tutorials I watched (which is probably numbering in the hundreds by now, or at least, it feels like it). For some reason, watching your vid, helped me get it. i don't know why, you don't really even touch on plucking, but THANK YOU!

@DakotaRevolver Glad to hear it. Sometimes it just works that way.

Thanks for the reply!, I have one more question.
Is it ok when I hit the A string and my fingernail go down and hit the ukulele and make a noise because there is no string to rest.I dont want to develop a bad habit.

@KN1C as you practice more you will have more control over that. Sometimes I actually like to let my fingernail hit the uke's body and it sort of adds to the rhythm. Personally, I wouldn't consider it a bad habit but maybe someone else can chime in with their take.

Could you give me a chord on 5:49-5:54 please.
KN1C 7 months ago
@KN1C those are just notes in the C chord. Open, 3rd and 5th frets on 2nd string. Open and 2nd fret on 3rd string. You can also add open, 3rd and 5th frets on 1st string as well. Hope that helps!
