Henry Cook plays a solo on an Ethiopian washint at the European Jazz Expo November 17 2007. The washint is a oblique style of flute in the same family as the ney. Henry made this washint himself based on washints that he bought in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Yeah it is. In ethiopia we dont call the flute flute we call it washint. and yeah that is an ethiopian tune.

this is not washint, this is a flut; and the btune is not ethiopian just it got some trace here and there that is all.
