Part 2 of 2 - - - "Popeye's Got a Brand New Bag". Watch closely as the actors leave the set of Bluto's office, through the door behind them. Poor Olive Oyl runs smack dab into the door!! I guess this is what we call "physical comedy"! OUCH!!
Awesome. Hadn't seen this sketch since it aired. Looks like they mixed Altman's film version with the musical numbers from the early Fleischer cartoons. The small talk between Blutto and Popeye was exact -- as was the kid throwing spinach to Popeye from the audience (writer Bruce Kirschbaum). Great production number, urging the audience to resist the incoming Reagan regime. Now where's The Ronny Horror Show?
i wish this show was on reruns or a complete dvd set !!!!
