It's sad to see that what used to be a great game is now a mediocre piece of crap. If they put more time they would make a great game, but since they make a fucking game every year for more money they can't do it better... and that's exactly what happened to Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk.

the funny thing is that all of these games are from the same publisher: Activision

and the games that destroyed them are from EA (Rock Band, Skate and Battlefield)

@ORENGEcarot Quality matters to US, but NOT to the developers (most of them). Guitar Hero sold over 28 million Guitar Hero copies and 60 million downloadable songs. Rock Band sold 13 million copies and 100 million downloadable songs. Activision's $2.8 billion revenue from Guitar Hero beats EA's $1.4 billion from Rock Band. Also, THPS 1-4, & THUG-THUG2 has way more sales than Skate 1-3. So in SALES figures, Activision has obliterated EA time and time again. Also, EA? QUALITY? Look @ EA Sports.

Guns, your completely wrong; If Re-spawn Entrainment or "West&Zampella" are able to knock Call of Duty off of the top, then its already to late for both of them.

West&Zampella only have experience with CoD4 and MW2; all the innovation since then is lost to them.

Whilst another modern CoD4 sounds great to you; its actually a sign that the market as become stagnant and thus the end of the FPS as king, leaving them open for something new to come along and sweep them up.

@MuFaSaMoSi - although I agree that Activision basically fucks up game genres, you're wrong. Guitar Hero has way more sales and way more overall revenue made than Rockband made. Tony Hawk wasn't really a HUGE gaming title, but yes, Skate owned it. but call of duty will continue beating battlefield. not enough people like the slow-paced simulator. i personally prefer call of duty, and i hate activision.
