That's funny - I used to play around those pipes as well when we used to have cross country runs from Hornchurch Grammar School - also back in the 60's.

Cannot believe what I've just seen.... I used to live in Derby Avenue, Upminster Bridge back in the 1960's and those Viking Lesbian pipes were there then!!!!
I used mess around on them, paddle about in the River Ingrebourne and play football on those very same goalposts above the Lesbian pipes...and after 50+ years.....nothing appears to have changed. Amazing. Great video!! thanks for the memory.

@ingravegreen Sorry you are now so old and bitter now. The video is actually more of a love song to the town than anything else. Look between the lines and you can see the message - not much happens in Upminster, and that can be frustrating when you are young... but it's not a bad place to grow up by any means.
