"Campus Conversations" is a 30-minute series that explores a variety of issues, events, and topics of interest to the Montgomery College Community.

"From Freedom's Shadow: African Americans in the United States Capitol" is a traveling exhibit from the U.S. Capitol Historical Society. In February 2008, the Rockville Campus of Montgomery College was pleased to host the exhibit as part of its Black and African-American History Month Celebration.

In this episode of "Campus Conversations", Felicia Bell, the curator of the exhibit and professors from the Montgomery College History Department join hosts Steve Simon and Fritzi Bodenheimer to discuss the exhibit and the important role of African-Americans in the U.S. Capitol.

Guests include:
Felicia Bell, Education and Outreach Director, United States Capitol Historical Society
Professor John Riedl, History and Political Science Department, Montgomery College - Rockville
Professor Alonzo Smith, History and Political Science Department, Montgomery College - Rockville
