The Macedonian artist Ilija Ampevski is one of the biggest Macedonian clarinet & saxophone players from the young Macedonian generation. He's famous for his technical virtuosity, wedding music, style and improvisation. He plays with a warm tones and his particular style combines a lot of staccato techniques with legato notes.

  • @Makedonier Well i guess it does... you see i have been studying specifically, romanian hora bulgarian horo and macedonian oro. I know that tale ognenovski was a great improviser. I ampevski were playing at a traditional dance, would he make up some of the music on the spot or is it all from his memory.....Thankyou for your help. Vi blagodaram

  • Wonderful. Both Ampevskis great show of clarinet playing and the beautiful dancing. We Macedonians have lot of culture to show and this is one proof of many.
