  • there should be more bass clarinets in jazz band. i play bass clarinet and i don't play any others that my director will let in jazz band (except bass guitar, but i'm still learning). i feel left out of jazz band :( i'll try convincing him (he won't do it)

  • Bass Clarinet PRIDE! Our school had a contrabass in Jazz band one year, but not a bass clarinet that I know of

  • @LaLinMangaFreak My director won't let bass clarinets in Jazz bands either, but I played in my middle schools jazz band on my bass clarinet, luckily I have been playing Bass guitar/7&8 string guitar for years, or else I would not be in jazz band.

  • @masterluigi39 haha i play too. and i always get boring parts >.> well unless we are playing a suite...

  • i love the bass clarinet but i always get the boring parts:(

  • huh quite a disgrace to bass clarinet =[

  • I don't like this video and the player, he has a song very poor!

    look my videos! ;)

  • For those who say that bass clarinet shouldnt be in jazz, look up Bass Clarinet "Nows the time"

  • yeah, my mom and some friends say i should learn bari for pep band next year since our only bari (well, that comes to pep band) is a senoir, so maybe i could do jazz band then, still thanks for the tip :)

  • Pick up tenor sax from BC, it's easy.

  • Very nice solos, but he need to clean up his upper register, it is very stuffy.

  • We've experimented with other voices in the sax section--replaced the altos with 2 Eb clarinets (same key, reads the same part), 2 Bb clarinets (reads the tenor parts), and an Eb alto clarinet reading the bari part. We have also had 2 alto clarinets read the alto sax parts, 2 bass clarinets read the tenor parts, and an Eb contralto clar. read the bari sax part.

Also have had 2 Eb sopranino saxes read the alto parts, 2 Bb soprano reading the tenor part, and an alto sax reading the baritone part.
