@dkongrules123 One reason that it is recommended to do things like this in dry hair: Leaving wet hair tightened up (like braids, curlers, ponytails after a shower etc) can provoke fungus on your scalp. I've only seen it in very extreme cases, so I'm not afraid to do it, since I normally never put my hair up when it is wet! If it has a major effect on the end result, I don't know.
