From PACE Theater's May 2009 production of William Finn and James Lapine's hilarious, provacative, and heart wrenching sung-through musical masterpiece, Falsettos. This scene is from Act II, where Ed Ryan and Noah Loving give great performances as Mendel and Jason in a scene that needs no explanation.

  • Let me just add, he wasn't too old. He was the correct age. Just, his voice matured a bit faster than most.

  • The original Jason withdrew from the production a number of weeks after rehearsals had started. Noah took the role with just five weeks before opening and did very well with it despite having to sing some of the songs an octave below where they were written. Sometimes things happen in a production that you just can't control...

  • I love the dance routine at the end! Nice choreography Joseph and great performances all.
