The horn you can hear in this elevator is called a Vibratone 350 made by Federal Signal Corporation. The one in the 1967 Morris and Wallace modernized in the 1980's has an IBM 4030.

Probably the worst elevator on campus. It is extremely slow and does bounce horribly on the way down. The pump on this elevator probably also wins the "noisiest pump" award, too. The machine room is located underneath the stairwell.

Noisiest pump? I now agree. Several years ago the noisiest one was the LSE elevator before they modernized it.

What the heck is with the tone? That is much worse than the ThyssenKrupp noise.

I dont know but yea its not the best sound. The Wilson Elevator use to be just as loud but now can barely be heard. If you listen closely on the Wilson video you can hear it.
