Scout How-To: Potato and ink prints
This is an easy way to make prints using a potato and ink. Take a potato and cut it in half using a straight blade (not a serrated blade) so that you get a nice, flat surface from the cut. Use a nail or other sharp implement to scratch out the outline of the design. Use a paring knife or pocketknife to whittle away the parts of the potato that are outside your design. Take the potato and press it into an ink pad, then on to the paper.
