Some people who responded to my video Raccoon vs. Chihuahua seemed to think our Raccoon stitch was being mistreated. This is my video response. We hope you will enjoy watching Stitch as much as we did. PS. Thanks to Extreme for the Awsome sound track!

  • Thank you! Do me a favor and give me a star rating, please? I've heard some raccoon's become violent, but one woman on YouTube has had her raccoon for 5 yrs. Stitch (male) was 2 wks old when we got him. He was fixed at 7 months, he was getting way to friendly with the stuffed animals. We moved 4 months ago and Stitch didn't move with us. He was nearly two years old & came and went at will. Our old neighbors have seen him and we hope to visit him soon. We miss him so much. We're in Costa Rica.

  • Why did you leave him? It seems he was part of the family. I would think he would have a hard time without you. Animals get depressed. I would be very worried for him. Didn't he sleep in the house? Now where does he sleep and live? Does he know how to get food on his own? Very concerned...please let us know your thoughts. God bless him and your family.

  • Before we moved Stitch had become very independent. He would spend three or four nights at a time in the jungle. He'd never been caged and came and went freely. Stitch could hunt crabs and other small animals on his own. We have gone back several times, called him and waited for him at the old house but he's never come. Our old neighbors see him often and give us updates. He like to back in the out door sinks, his own private jacuzzis. He is fat and happy by all accounts, but we miss him.

  • Thank you for getting back we me and telling me about him and how he is up to living on his own. I have to admit I'm one of those strange poepl that worry about animals out on the streets in my own City in the hot or cold weather. Or if the people that own some pets have taken care of them. I just love animals so much, it hurts to think of any just left. So glad to know your little buddy is good and you can get to hear how he is doing. God bless him and your family!

  • Well in this part of Costa Rica streets are not really an issue. Stitch is still up to mischief. We've even hear he goes to the local five star resort near by to beg with the other raccoons sometimes. Doesn't supprise me, he loves cookies and he can't catch those in the wild.

  • I would love to share stories with you. I too had a Raccoon, "Hamlet" he was so wonderful. Your video touched my heart. Hamlet has been gone for 25 years now. He pasted in my arms. He was from a Coon camp in North Dakoda. He was a baby when I got him and of course grew up and past. You video was a wonder reminder of Hamlet. Sorry you had to leave him. Hamlet lived in both CA and WA and went on camping trips and live in a few different homes growing up. Hamlet love all animals. Love u Hamlet!

  • I never saw this other vid of yours, but this Raccoon obviously never saw one day of mistreatment.

very sweet video. looks like lots of memories. last minute was really sad, with that shot of him walking away.

have you ever seen him again? or still think about him?

  • I would call this... A Beautiful Life. If only the rest of the animals in the world could be loved this much.

  • That raccoon appears to be living a charmed life!

one question does he/she know how to turn on/off the water faucets?

  • @TheRobbieHall You are misguided. They are not bad...they are curious and VERY entertaining!

  • Awesome video! I am a wildlife rehabber and raccoons are my most favorite! And to gigisdiamonds....glad you are lookin out, just remember that a raccoon is a wild animal and that instinct kicks in automatically, no matter how "tame" you might think them to be. They are a very resilient animal!

  • why would you want a raccoon because there bad, they get into every thing
