they wouldnt get it if you tell them to "positioning ur shoulder to the side you want it to go and put pressure on that same foot." Ofcourse once you get good at it you dont actually look at the mountain...

old school. no one teaches falling leaf anymore because it only teaches you to control one edge, then its very hard to break the habit. I have always gone in this order 1 j-turn 2 c-turn 3 s-turn. works every time. If you know of a good use for this technique let me know.
