Rohrabacher defends Border Patrol vigilantes

On December 21, 2006, Huntington Beach congressman Dana Rohrabacher hosted a news conference in front of the court house in Santa Ana to call for amnest for 2 border patrol agents, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, who fired 14 rounds at the back of an unarmed fleeing "illegal" immigrant and then hid the evidence that they had violated proper procedures and and the law and then filed a false offical report. Rohrabacher was met by a small group of anti-war protesters and tried, but failed, to have them arrested.
