I only had a few ducks last winter, a couple were Indian Runner, one Call, and the others were half Runner, half Muscovie.

btw, sorry my voice sounds like I have a mouthful of cotton balls lol. The sound card is off and anyone that talks in my videos sounds horrible like this :)

  • Hey, I am very sorry about your ducks. I have been throughh the same thing, my poor Krackers was attacked my two rots. They came back we found thw owners and the would do anything, very heartbreaking. Im thirteen, we recently got a new duck. She is supposed to be a girl khacky Campbell one month old. I believe it is a girl because of her loud distinquive quack. SHE BITES. Not hard most of the time but shes a bitter. She eats my hair, grabes my skin, and tries swallowing my fingers. Please Help

  • @berrykari Hi! I'm so sorry to hear about your Krackers :( That's horrible!

It sounds like you have a female for sure. I'm not really sure how to deal with ducks that bite...I had a few like that also and it was hard to feed them as they would come after me. I think if I remember correctly, they mainly outgrew that nipping part, when they are young they are like puppies & try to dominate us. I wish I could give you advice but I don't really know what to say. Good luck, hope all goes well!

  • your runner/ muscovy looks a lot like some runner/ pekins we bred last year. I assume the muscovy was black or black/white pied?

  • the muscovy was a pied and she bred with a white runner drake :)

I miss my ducks, foxes took quite a few of them, the rest have since passed away. I may get more in the future (ducks always look like they are smiling, don't they? :)

  • the indian runner/ muscovy looks extremely nice !

  • thank you! I actually love the mixed breeds of birds...whether in ducks or chickens, it's always a fun guess as to how they will turn out (unless I keep their breeds separate :).

Usually their colours are bolder :)

  • LOL are those like humans! Haha and the little mallard is like... Not fitting in xD

  • @berrykari Stop picking them up, ever, they have to learn to trust you. Unless it's important for their health. It's how mine let me stroke them, play with their wings etc.

  • awwwe i love runners

  • @berrykari HI I think i can help you your duck sounds lonely my advice is to get her another duck. Most lonely ducks are a bit agressive. And i'm sorry about your ducks thats happened to me before only an owl got them :'( but i have knew ducks now and there all as happy as can be and this time i'm not gonna let any thing happen to them! =D and if your parents say no to another duck just do what i do BEG! xD
