"Transhumanism", as I believe it is called, is a movement that seeks to improve human species. They hope for somehting similar to what you call "homo artificialis", only they call it a "posthuman". My prediction is that great ethical systems derived from the Axial Age will prevent that from happening. After all, transhumanism does resemble eugenics, and this already failed.

what we "want" for our evolution isn't necessarily the same as what we "need" for our evolution

what we generally want is power and to control those beneath us. implanted chips would help there in reward and punishment system for our slaves..

what we need for our evolution is probably quite different.. probably furthered through cooperation and humility

Very interesting idea that the story of the garden of eden seems to be the way ancient man dealt mythologically with the end of the hunting and gathering stage. Very simple and almost obvious and yet extremely insightful. Thanks for uploading.

I think -to follow slavoj zizek- the main question will be: Is Fukuyama right or not?

Fukuyama predicted the end of men with the fall of communism and called the liberal democracy the ultimate stage of human kind & politics.

Is the liberal parlamential democracy really the best or at least the least bad political system for mankind? If not you may follow marx and say mankind has just begun.
