East Broad Top in the Fall

A collection of shots of passenger trains led by EBT #15, taken during the 2008 Fall Spectacular and the following weekend (October 11 and 19). Note the consist changes slightly; after the Spectacular, cabooses 27 and 28 were added to the end of the train for the remainder of the season.

The third car in the train is box #168, which the Friends of the East Broad Top converted into another open excursion car similar to 175. However, 168's wheelchair lift provides convenient handicap access to the EBT for the first time. A matching ramp was built so these riders can also disembark at Colgate Grove. The wheelchair lift is battery powered; the battery is charged by a solar panel. Look for it on the roof !

That whsitle sounds amazing. Sounds very similar to ET&WNC #12s whistle. One of baldwins trademarks I guess. Great Video, I enjoyed it!

Just to let everyone know. Dont forget about the speeder rides at the EBT. We the speeder crew, have opened more of the main line southbound. It is about a mile from the yard to the end of the reopened line now. Lost of work, but were one mile closer to Robertsdale.
