The Nanking massacre was indeed real. The same thing (with smaller scale) happened here too in south east asia during the Japanese occupation.
My grandfather almost got beheaded with spying allegation, but was saved by his own diary.

You're welcome. Yeah, I heard all about Southeast Asia too. The Japanese used thousands of starved prisoners to build that railroad from Bangkok to Rangoon. Terrible brutality was used used on local civilians and prisoners of war.
