This is a handy trick for training your body to pull heavier draw weights without actually purchasing a heavier draw weight bow, it should also just give you an idea what you are ready for. Can also be done for fun of course!

  • how do you attach string silencers?

  • @roglet123 Very simple, guess I need to make a video of that sometime. Just fold up the silencers, wrap them around the string, then tie them very tightly with string, I used artificial sinew. Cut the end that is folded over.

  • Hi, I'm wondering if your green bow at the 1:00 (you put with the yellow bow) is the one they are selling on Amazon, for $45.99, called the Bear Archery Firebird Bow (60-inch). I was wondering if I should buy it, but the only thing that worries me is the one person's one star rating about the tip that is glued on, flying off and bruising their kid. It's a shame it's not part of the limb, but glued on. What is your user experience with that bow if it is the same one? I'd appreciate your opinion.

  • @huyked It looks very similar to mine, but handle is slightly different. Fact is, most if not all nocks (tips) on bows which hold the string are glued on. Some primitives are made from a single piece of wood including the nocks, like my 50 pound longbow there. Glue has been used for making bows for thousands of years. Sounds like the person who commented got a defective bow, and if his kid was bruised he/she had a right to be mad. I have shot it thousands of times, no problems, good bow.

  • I do bent over rows with dumbbells it works great as well..

  • @ArrowFetcher

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it.

  • Thumbs up for warning not to knock an arrow and shoot. I bet some redneck somewhere will still try to duct tape two bows together and go deer hunting.
