Frary Peak, Antelope Island, Utah

August 2004, 115 Degrees, nothing but sun, very unprepared for the hike. It was a 3 1/2 hour hike up, 3 hour hike down. I started with half a bottle of Gatorade. Incredible view at the top; 6,596' elevation. I left the mic on by accident when I transferred the video to my PC, so that explains the keyboard sounds. :)

What time of the year were you there? I think it was too hot for mosquito's when I was there (August), because I don't remember seeing any.

Yea, it was the first time in my life I was genuinely afraid I wouldn't make it down alive, especially since the sun was going down fast and being stuck out there without a shirt of flashlight wouldn't have been fun. I'll definitely check out that book, thanks!

I was there yesterday (sept). The view was great and we saw caribou on the trail. Only thing we weren't prepared for was were the insects.
