@PBANDSNOW i guess you read that somewhere,i think if you had that conversation with either jimmy or robert youd get a few laughs. As for a fanbase, this is not some half wit xfactor outfit.Bands like this will be around in music history for ever, just as all great composers who write and perform in a magnificent way. Can only assume as to if they would still be around, maybe not,but then again with all true greats they dont need tobe when leaving behind them a legacy like that.
i heard that jimmy has a lot of full concert footage from the led zepp days only problem is its all 8mm film and some of the rolls are jumbled up so like the led zepp dvd it could take a year to put each concert on dvd and thats why i think we have not had any more new dvds yet and jimmys a perfectionist he will want the sound to be perfect
A shame "White Summer" got chopped... always loved that number.
As for the matter of Page "dropping his guitar pick," he is simply adjusting the levels on one of his pedals, which he is clearly unhappy with for the duration of the song.
No doubt Page had his issues with heroin -- it was a serious issue with professional musicians of every era (check any Stones footage from the 70s for evidence.)

No matter what Led Zeppelin will always be one of the greatest bands around. I don't ever tire of watching them in concert. No there is no excuse for the drugs though they suffered through a lot. To date no one has ever been able to duplicate them nor will they ever be duplicated.
@1964LedZep THey wouldn't still be around. They were struggling when Bonham died. Their fanbase was less than half of what it was 3 years earlier, Plant was going to end it in a few years anyways, and he admitted so, really, Bonham was just a scapegoat.
@coltsuperocean10 yep! page got off of smack in the early eighties

@bonzofan1977 he didnt drop his pick, he changed the knob on the pedal because there wasnt enough phaser on that riff.
