well they say that cat stevens was copied by satch and then satch was copied by coldplay however the only two that sound exactly the same pretty much are satch and coldplays. cat stevens version sounds alot different than the other two

Coldplay... Great performers but let's be honest. They rip off songs worse than Zepplin who basically ripped off their entire first album.

They're not even kind of alike. You wanna put a stop to all music sounding the same? Find that fucking drum machine that's being used by every piece of R'n'B 'music' currently infesting the charts and cut the fucking plug off it.

similar? kind of. the same? of course not. thousands of artists use the same chord progressions and even similar melody lines, it's western music, there's not too many millions of options. and besides, why isn't satriani being accused of ripping off cat stevens then? the whole thing is so stupid, and i find it rather crazily suspicious that there is only a big deal about coldplay's biggest, most money-making song. people are stupid
