I agree. Romana 2 was the best companion of the classic series. I also like the first Romana but not as much. I also agree Donna is the best of the new series. I like the fact that she's a bit older than most of the ones before.

From the classic series, i'd say...Romana. 2nd incarnation. There was so much chemistry her and the 4th Doctor, and you could also sense a deeper and yet very alien connection between the two.
Favourite new series companion would b Donna. She's really surprised me, with Donna there's no love story going on, and yet she is the kind of woman who truly enjoys travelling with the doctor. She's also someone who's never afraid to stand up to the doctor, which is always great in a companion imo.

my favorite was rose, cause its not just that they were equals. Its that they had fun together, there was hardly any question of how they felt, and they just know. They had fun together and they both felt the same way about each other. They just went well together.

My favorite is Rose Tyler, as she is The Doctor's equal. I also think that Billie Piper is awesome, and an amazing actress...and quite a good singer, although she's no leona.
