  • Well would you look at that! That's at the Seamus Ennis Cultural Centre in the Naul - I live about 5 mins from that place. can't believe I missed him. When did he play there?

  • It was a couple of years ago, May 2006 I think. I was amazed that he turned up somewhere like that, but actually the centre seems to pick up some really good acts. I think they had Damien Dempsy there a while ago. Check out their calender, you might find some hidden gem in there.

  • the song is called big muff? or is he playing through a big muff?

  • It's definatly called Big Muff, though if it's played through a big muff or not I couldn't tell ya, sorry.

  • 2005-11-23 Ireland, The Naul (co Dublin), Seamus Ennis Centre. "The venue is tiny (holds about 100). Terrific night, full 90 minute set without a break (and without an encore)." (Liam Stewart).

  • you came up with that muff is scotish for a fanny shit in the comments of the other version of this tune, muff means fanny everywhere you fanny, I doubt highly that that's what it's aboot anyhoo, it's about drugs if it's actually aboot anything I'd have thought IMHO, who gies a fuck anyway, it's just a great tune, i've never actually met anyone who likes John who is actually a fanny, so I;ll take that back.

  • It's always great to see the big man getting down and having fun.

This must be John's dirtiest song. In case you don't know, 'muff' is Scots slang for a lady's private parts.

  • The best , miss you big John x

  • This is excellent. Did you film any of the rest of the gig? I would love to see it somehow. Thanks. Stuart

  • And what a great performance - it shows he could still get down and dirty with this song - the fruits of his time with Lee Scratch Perry

  • Will always love this man.
