Not to long ago we took a look at the Clickfree HD801, a 160GB external hard drive that had an integrated piece of software that could automatically backup your pictures, videos and documents without as much as a click on the user's part. -- In this interview we chat with the head honcho over at Clickfree and he shares a new gadget, a future gizmo, and a lot of enthusiasm for his product.

  • I just got one of the 500gb drives, and you can choose what you want to back up exp. web docs, photos, vids, ect.. I want to know if I can use it as an hard drive to store stuff and get ride of it on my pc hard drive

  • mbailey2703,

The ClickFree acts like a regular hard drive. Connect it via USB, then exit out of the automatic client. You can now copy your data to the drive.

    .

    Peace,

    Fr. Robert

  • Father Robert, did they hook you up with a coupon code for being a viewer of Gadget? You've helped them out considerably and I'm ready to get the transformer and later on one of their dedicated hard drives.

  • maxgeron,

Sorry, no coupon. :( --- But I do have a transformer in the lab and I'll have a review up as soon as I get off my lazy butt!: :)

    .

    Peace,

    Fr. Robert
