That's very true. Bill Kazmaier benched 668 pounds RAW, so bench strength hasn't realistically gotten much bigger when you compare the guys of the old days to what they are now. I doubt the bench record will ever be 2000 pounds, I see your concern. Now, it's about learning the newest shirt rather then actually getting stronger. In Never Enough Bench, Mark Bell explains that his bench went up when he wore a loose 1-ply shirt because the shirt was loose enough to still train the muscles.
nobody else can do what he does. i know that. but how do you compare his bench strength with someone like bill kazmaier who lifted in the 80's. what is the record gonna be in 20 years? 2000lbs?
That's not what I am talking about man. There are some guys out there that can lift over double in gear then they can RAW. I met a guy who squatted 835 in a leviathon, but 405 RAW crushed him and it took 4 guys to get the weight off of him. I have no respect for that. But this man has benched a legit geared 1075 and RAW benches 600-700 commonly during warm-ups. That's real strength if you ask me. It's enough of an accomplishment that his wrists haven't broken from handling 1000+ pounds.
I'm guessing you don't know the difference between record holders and gear whores. The man in this video has pressed 700 RAW in the SHW's and paused 675 in the 308's. He's now doing touch and go benches with 675 RAW @ 265 bodyweight. He's not just strong in the shirt, he's strong RAW as well.
Ada boy! That is true. Nobody online has any idea how the shirt works. I have benched as much as 350 RAW, but because of the groove of the shirt, I've never scratched 300 inside the shirt.
@reiffer1221: lay down to a bench and press! its a longer way than you think and its bullshit when assholes like you say sth. like this!you will never be able to press this! never! so shut up motherfucker!

i know the difference. and it's almost 400 pounds difference. gear is a joke. ruins the sport. he who has the strongest shirt wins. oh boy!
