True Grit hits theaters on December 25th, 2010.

Fourteen-year-old Mattie Ross's (Hailee Steinfeld) father has been shot in cold blood by the coward Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin), and she is determined to bring him to justice. Enlisting the help of a trigger-happy, drunken U.S. Marshal, Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges), she sets out with him - over his objections - to hunt down Chaney. Her father's blood demands that she pursue the criminal into Indian territory and find him before a Texas Ranger named LeBoeuf (Matt Damon) catches him and brings him back to Texas for the murder of another man.

@eddycatflap Both movies were based on a novel. This movie is an adaptation of the novel, not a remake of the previous adaptation. This movie follows the book more closely than the previous. So, what I have said just dulled, nullified, and superfluized your comment. (Douchey laugh) Yeah I'm a total douche. And pretentious, too.

Second, the 1969 True Grit starring John Wayhne is a poorly dated piece of crap that people only remember because John Wayen is in it, the Coen films is miles better then that shoddy attempt at a wrestern and quite frankly there shouldn't be any comparison when the answeres pretty obbviouse.
