On Saturday, April 11th in Madison, Wisconsin, I shared the stage with amazing HMONG talents from all over in the 2nd Annual Hmong Human Rights Benefit Show titled, "Remember the Name." This special event's main purpose was to continue bringing awareness on the atrocities that our fellow Hmong are facing right now in Thailand and Laos.

Artists/Performers :
The Sheboygan Qeej Players
Xib Fwb Cua Lis (Choua Lee)
Pa Kou Lee & friends
Mee Kay Her & Mary Yang
Chicspittenfire
HASA Dance Team
Duce Khan & Logo
Donny Xiong
(I know there was one more duo, so I apologize for not remembering your names.)

I met The Sheboygan Qeej Players at the very end of the show and was so intrigued by their young age and amazing skills. I have little knowledge of "rab qeej" and its significance in the Hmong culture. Therefore, I wanted to know more; so I asked these young and talented Sheboygan Qeej Players. Check out their incredible knowledge and talent!!

  • Hey i know the chang dude in the middle. He came to appleton couple weeks ago to help us blow qeej. Thanx bro. Anywayz good job 2 the guy blowing qeej. We, young kidz need 2 step up 4 the OG's and take their place. WE R THE FUTURE!!!

  • Good to see you guys keep up our culture trandition stuff, but guys, you shouldn't post one that is about "TUAG." we only use it at a funeral event (not for fun or things like that) So if you were to do for fun or group like this, I suggest you guys doing "Qeej Plig" cuz this one doesn't specified anything beside "Plig" and the lyrics of Qeej is much in a normal way.

We used to "Qeej" for a wedding event but not anymore, so we have to know what type of Qeej to use at what event.

  • great job guys!

  • the guy in black is cute.

  • =D this is my cousin team los sav!

  • Sorry but qeej can't be kool
