Suzanne Haïk-Vantoura, LA MUSIQUE DE LA BIBLE RÉVÉLÉE - VOLUME 2 (Alienor 1050 CD), Track 4.

This slideshow of Psalms 27 includes the consonantal Hebrew Masoretic Text and modified versions of the transliteration and translation provided by Lev Software. The arrangement for the modern Celtic harp is of course SHV's, but the ancient melodic line, modality and choral alternation were inferred by her from the Masoretic Text (Letteris Edition).

Psalms 27 is perhaps one of the easiest Psalms to misunderstand, in terms of its overall sense and content. Its courageous verbal beginning is followed by verses that are intimate, plaintive and finally hopeful. Only David's own music can tie together all these facets of his complex personal relationship with God, and demonstrate how they were expressed emotionally at a particularly stressful time of his life.
