  • @acidbath32 Left side of the brain is textbook smart where as right side is more creative... you can actually make the left side of your brain go to sleep by reciting a word over and over thus making it bored XD you will still function but probably have less restricted and more creative actions. these things are useful for artists etc to know

  • hmmm i cant even play the piano, but i have one and i mess around and can play a few songs. When i just fuck around and improvise, its like going into a trance, and my siblings will be yelling at me to stop playing, but im like, fuck you...then i stop and it feels like i had just woken up...cool shit

  • It means that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are not enlightened by fixed teachings but by an intuitive process that is spontaneous and natural

  • @heru1966 well both hemispheres of the brain are usually in sync with each other no matter what type of music your playing, this just shows the difference of nueral activity in the brain between improvisational and composed music.

  • Fascinating. I really wish to study this further. One thing I have read is that invention/creativity is a right brain hemisphere function, whilst the left side of the brain 'goes by the book'. How does what the video is saying tie in with this? Also, I could be wrong but I suspect this could have real implications in other areas. Education and religion, to name two areas that are largely based upon "go by the book/by memory". Looking forward to developing the conversation.

  • I believe it was Mile Davis who said, Jazz happens between the notes.

  • ''jazz is not read, it just spells funny''.....
