I also think its not brian on the background. Guitar is indeed way tot harsh. Looks like a strat to me. I think Brian may only produced this song (including guitar solo)

That's definitely not Brian in the background. Nor is it his guitar, the tone is way too harsh to be an RS guitar! It looks like a Stratocaster being used.
