Facebook going public

The social networking site Facebook has made a highly-anticipated status update, announcing that it's going public. 

The social networking giant is seeking to raise $5bn on Wall Street in what would be the largest initial public offering ever by a technology company.

Al Jazeera's Rob Reynolds reports from Los Angeles.
