UPDATE:
Apparently the Obama administration has jumped to conclusions along with the NAACP.

UPDATE:
The NAACP has rebuked her, even though some are saying that she purportedly goes on to say that she was wrong. Some reports say that this took place 22 years ago, but that time-line does not work out from the information we and others have collated. Bottom line is if this is not current, she is reported at saying that she did not go on to help the "white farmer"

Shirley Sherrod fired by Dept. of Agriculture after she is heard in video at NAACP event saying she didn't help a white farmer as she should have, in a racist act.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is literally red-faced with the latest revelation that members of the organizational yukked it up when Shirley Sherrod, former Agriculture Department's Georgia director of Rural Development, was heard describing "the first time I was faced with having to help a white farmer save his farm."
