It's one thing to go to the Clay Center and listen to the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, but it's another when the maestro himself takes the time to explain the music and what to listen for. That's what Grant Cooper, the Artist Director and Conductor for the WVSO, did prior to the March 4 Classic Expressions concert. In this video Cooper is joined by guest artist Robert Turizziani, a talented clarinetist.
I was there that day for the Classic Expressions concert. I think the Premiere Rhapsody (that Bob soloed in) was great. It was a nice "intro" to Petrushka.
