How to make a super long slip'n slide at home in your own back yard, one that doesn't need a big hill, or oil, or soap... just a garden hose. Unlike other internet sliding videos, three adorable children here demonstrate that awesome sliding tricks are really child's play, after all

  • Can someone tell me what the music is?

  • @MrLaramarkovits the first part is from "Vintage Children's Favorites" from the 1920's, it's called "Balloons" and i think it's by uncle monty

the second part is sun ra singing "We Travel the Spaceways", from an old documentary

  • Great fun, my kids won't believe it. I think I'll work on it as a secret project and bust it out the next time they want to go swimming...THANKS!

  • wahoo! that's gonna be an awesome surprise

  • oh, and also:

    4) soft grass under you and

    5) good speed before lift-off!

  • it was good but what if youm dont have slip and slides0.

  • i think the three key ingredients are ( in descending order)

    1) smoothe plastic

    2) steady water spray

    3) some downhill if at all possible

then, the key seems to be getting good speed, and getting low to the ground before you dive (and bellies seem to slide better than shirts or one-piece suits or UV/water-suits). so plastic sheeting or tarps can work fine if you have the other two ingredients (lots of water and a good downhill) and so on
